A police investigation has been launched in Vanuatu's capital after the discovery of a baby's body at the Vila Central Hospital sewage system.
Police say the baby, a boy, was probably between 6 to 7 months-old.
Police are appealing to anyone who lives at Sea Side in Port Vila or areas around the capital for information.
They say someone must know a woman who had a baby recently but now no longer has the child.
Police say anyone with such information should report it to the serious crime unit at the Port Vila Police station.
