Sport: Totori desperate to impress Phoenix football team in pre-season

6:36 am on 18 August 2012

Wellington Phoenix striker Benjamin Totori says he's willing to do anything and play anywhere for his new team.

The 26 year-old signed for the Phoenix off the back of a starring role at the Oceania Nations Cup tournament in Honiara.

The club plays it's first pre-season match against the Newcastle Jets in Australia today and Totori says he's been more than happy to work in with coach Ricki Herbert's requirements.

"He put me on a new position on the right wing and he put me there, he wants me to play there, so I'm there - what he wants I deliver so I just want to keep on delivering what he wants and maybe the first game here I can play."

Following the game against Newcastle the Phoenix squad will head to India for a three game tour.
