Sport: First seeds fall at junior tennis champs in Fiji

The first seeds have been ousted on day two of the Oceania Junior Tennis Championship in Lautoka, Fiji.

Boys fourth seed Bradley Mousley of Australia was eliminated in straight sets by compatriot Marc Polmans.

While girls fifth seed Naiktha Bains took it to a deciding third set but could not withstand Zoe Hives.

Fiji's Annie Shannon and New Caledonia's Assya Trimari ended the run of Pacific players in the main draw.

However in the second tier plate competition, Vanuatu's Gregory Jacobe and Tahiti's Heve Kelley advanced to the quarter finals, with PNG's Marcia Tere Apisah, the CNMI's Mikayla Lopez and Fiji's Tarani Kamoe doing the same in the girls draw.
