Sport: NZ get early shot at revenge against New Caledonia

10:37 am on 27 June 2012

New Zealand will have a chance at instant revenge after the draw for the third stage of Oceania World Cup football qualifiers was revealed.

First up for the All Whites is a trip to Noumea to face New Caledonia on September the 7th - the team who knocked them out of the Oceania Nations Cup in Honiara earlier this month.

Nations Cup champions Tahiti will travel back to the scene of their victory to play Solomon Islands on match-day one.

All four teams will play each other home and away over six match days running through until March of next year.

The winner will advance to a home and away playoff against the fourth best team from the North and Central American CONCACAF federation for a spot at the 2014 World Cup.
