Businesses in Tonga are being asked to submit comments on six proposed changes to Tonga's Business License Act, which include a reduction in the price of a license.
There are more than 2,000 businesses in the Kingdom and the law states anyone who owns a business must have a valid license at the cost of 132 Pa'anga.
According to Radio Tonga the Ministry of Labour, Commerce and Industries says it wants to lower the price of a license in order to encourage investors and entrepreneurs.
It also wants clients to receive their license on day one instead of waiting for other ministries to do their checks and inspections.
Other proposed changes include businesses to have an unlimited license instead of renewing it yearly.
