Sport: Solomon Islands coach backs his team to handle added pressure

9:52 am on 2 June 2012

Solomon Islands coach Jacob Moli is confident his team will handle the added pressure of playing at home in the Oceania Nations Cup football tournament today.

Moli says a top four is their minimum aim, which would secure secure a spot in the next stage of World Cup qualifying.

Although with Fiji and New Zealand also in the Group he admits that's no easy feat.

"This is the pool of death so we just have to be really on our game to go onto the next level because all teams in this pool are good teams altogether so we just have to be on our best each time we play against each of the teams."

The earlier match today is between Fiji and defending champs New Zealand.
