Sport: Flying Fijians coach confident team will gel quickly

The Flying Fijians coach Inoke Male doesn't anticipate any major problems integrating his team in time for their Pacific Nations Cup opener against Japan next month.

Male this week named 16 new caps in his PNC squad, including five members of the national sevens team, but says despite the changing faces he expects the players will gel together quickly.

"The good thing is I've been with these players some of them in the PRC - and they really played well in the PRC and some of the sevens boys - not forgetting about the boys who played in Europe. The boys were picked on individual performance and individual roles that I want them to play on my game plan."

Fiji open their Pacific Nations Cup campaign against Japan on June the 5th.
