Samoa PM pushes good governance message

Samoa's Prime Minister, Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi, has called on board members of state-owned enterprises to be leaders of good governance in their work places.

He has also called for the same standards from those serving on boards for government ministries and non-government organisations.

Speaking at a meeting of the Samoa Institute of Directors, Tuilaepa said accountability is vital in good governance system for each institute to offer good service.

He says those who do not follow accountability principles will be dealt with.
