1:35 pm on 8 May 2012

The family of a man killed during a police drug raid in a village in Samoa yesterday says the police shot at them first.

Three police officers were wounded by gunfire when they pulled up to the house in Faleatiu village.

The police say they were shot at first and fired back in defence.

But the editor at the Samoa Observor Matā'afa Keni Lesa, says the family is claiming the police were the first to open fire.

No arrests have been made yet.
