17 new records have been set at the Fiji Long Course Age Group Swimming Championship being contested at the Damodar Aquatic Centre.

Among the highlights, Temafa Yalimaiwai broke a 14 year old record in the Boy's 9-10 year old 100m Freestyle, stopping the clock, clocking 1:09:83 sec to beat the old mark by over two seconds.

Yalimaiwai then beat his own record time in the 50m butterfly, on his way to five new national age group records.

Rosemary Rova finished the Girl's 10 & Under 50m Breastroke race in record time to surpass the record set by her older sister Adele Rova five years ago.

The elder Rova did find success of her own however in the Girls 15-16 age category, while another sibling, Cheyanne Rova, claimed the best time in the Women's 15-16 50m Breastroke.
