Sport: CISNOC delay AGM

The Cook Islands Sports and National Olympic Committee has postponed it's annual general meeting, citing the need to have audited accounts ready for the meet.

CISNOC secretary general Rosie Blake told Cook Islands News that the meeting, which was scheduled for last Friday night local time, was deferred but no new date for the meeting has been set.

She says some national federations were pleased to know that CISNOC would present audited accounts at the meet but some others took the attitude that the deferment may be a cover up for further financial woes.

CISNOC last year revealed an $800,000 deficit and shortfall in its finances, and had to call on government for bailout funding.
