The Lautoka Chamber of Commerce in Fiji and the National Centre for Small and Micro Enterprise Development have held a free business appreciation workshop for youth.
The event was run at the Sugar Cane Growers Council yesterday with the aim of giving unemployed youth, advice and direction to become successful business entrepreneurs.
The Chamber of Commerce administrator Mohammed Salim told the Fiji Sun the workshop was organised for youth who have potential to start small businesses in Lautoka and surrounding areas.
Mr Salim says the invitation was also extended to year 13 students who wished to participate.
He says the event covered business start up, generating business ideas, forms of assistance and support available in starting a new business.
