Indonesia's Trigana Air Service has yet to resume flights to Mulia Airport in Papua province after an armed gang shot at one of its planes two weeks ago, killing a journalist aboard.

The Jakarta Post quotes the airline as saying the security situation in Puncak Jaya is difficult even though the airport has been reopened.

The company is waiting for the Air Transportation Directorate General and the National Transportation Safety Committee to declare that it is safe to fly to Puncak Jaya before resuming flights there.
