Samoa and South Korea celebrate 40 years of diplomatic relations

The two nations of Samoa and South Korea have celebrated forty years of diplomatic relations.

Samoa's acting Prime Minister, Le Mamea Ropati, says the relationship has developed and strengthened over the years.

Le Mamea Ropati says his country and South Korea have worked together in areas of climate change, world peace and security at the United Nations

He told the new Korean Ambassador for Samoa at a reception, Wong kyu Park, that his country has endeavored to support South Korea's interests and concerns at international forums.

Le Mamea Ropati also pointed out the continuing support of his country in international efforts to safeguard South Korea, as well as the stability of the Asian region.
