Queensland rugby launches charity auction to support Fiji

Queensland rugby has launched a charity auction to raise more than $50,000 dollars for flood ravaged Fiji.

It also aims to save Queensland Reds player Radiki Samo from cutting off his trademark "afro".

Samo's home village in Fiji, Narewa, was destroyed by flooding so as a way to raise funds he offered to shave off the eye catching hair style should the fund raising target not be reached before May 10.

Eight items are up for auction including two spots on the Reds bench for a super rugby game against the Stormers, Samo's playing jersey signed by the team and a signed Wallabies tri nations jersey..

Also on offer is ten tickets to the Lady Gaga concert in Brisbane June.
