Solomon Islands Police have charged three suspects with murder following a stabbing which resulted in the death of a 27-year old man from Malaita Province.
The man and a friend were allegedly attacked by a group of men in East Honiara.
The accused men will appear at the Honiara Magistrate's court and the police are applying for a further remand of the men in relation to new charges of murder.
The Solomon Star reports the police are calling on members of both parties to refrain from retaliation and allow them to carry out their investigations.
