The Samoa rugby union is still negotiating to settle the head coach of the national team.

Adriam Thompson was announced as head coach last week but contract terms are still be to be settled.

But Union secretary Ameperosa Roma says the new Chief Executive .Fred Amoa, will start next week though he has yet to sign his contract.

Mr Roma says Thompson has raised a few issues and they are being worked through.

"At this stage Mr Thompson has got back to us on that offer. He has raised a few issues which we need to consider and get back to him on that. So we are still in that negotiating process and as of now nothing has been finalised."

Mr Roma says the issues don't pose a serious threat to Mr Thompson signing up and he hopes to have the matter finalised next week .
