New Zealand and Papua New Guinea continued their winning ways at the Oceania Football Confederation under 17 women's championship yesterday in Auckland.

The host and defending champion crushed New Caledonia 13-1 while Papua New Guinea snuck past Cook Islands 3-2.

Meanwhile the Under 20 championship is back on centre stage today.

New Zealand will take on New Caledonia.

New Caledonia were impressive in beating Samoa five one on day one while New Zealand struck the back of PNG's net six times without reply.

New Zealand coach Aaron McFarland says New Caledonia are quick and assertive.

"They are very direct, although ot necessarily in the air. Its not the long ball. They go forward quickly and with fast passes. But they don't look to buildup the play, they look to go forward straight away. nd in defence they look to just press the ball back and win it back immediately, when they played Samoa anyway. I'm no sure how they will adjust to playing against us but we're looking forward to quite a different challenge from what we faced from PNG."
