10:45 am on 11 April 2012

The start of the Oceania Football confederation's Under 20 women's championship in Auckland was dominated by one sided scorelines.

New Caledonia swept by Samoa 5-1 while New Zealand racked up a six nil win against Papua New Guinea yesterday at Centre Park.

New Caledonia has posted its first win at this event.

The only other time they competed, in 2006, they didn't register a point.

The OFC under 20s now makes way for the OFC under 17s with Papua New Guinea looking to continue it winning ways.

After a one nil win against New Caledonia on Monday PNG will face the Cook Islands today while New Zealand will tackle New Caledonia.

New Zealand opened with a 7-0 win against the Cook Islands.
