Nine retail travel agents from the major Italian tour operator, Master Explorer, have expressed interest in increasing their business to Fiji.
The nine were hosted by Pacific Destinationz, Air Pacific, Tourism Fiji and several hotel and resort suppliers.
Fiji Times Online reports the travel agents were all visiting Fiji for the first time and are top sellers for the Master Explorer Tour Operator.
The managing director of Pacific Destinationz Fiji, James Sowane, says the trip has prepared the sellers well in promoting Fiji to their clients for the coming peak season that starts in June through to September.
Mr Sowane says the Italian honeymoon market was a key market for a lot of Fiji's boutique and luxury hotels and resorts.
