A second lawsuit has been filed by five Palau senators against President Johnson Toribiong.

The first case claims the President wrongly took charge of 500,000 US dollars from the US Government to resettle a group of Uighurs previously imprisoned in Guantanamo Bay..

One of Senators behind the case, Tommy Remengesau Junior, says another lawsuit has been filed by the same group, alleging the president has overspent allocated funds.

"So any time somebody overexpends his allocation or the ceiling of the budget they can be personally liable for those over expenditures and in this case the audit reports have come out showing that beginning in 2009 the government overspent their allocation."

Tommy Remengesau Junior says the issue is now before the courts.
