Two marches are to be held in Fiji tonight by women reclaiming the night.

The marches have been planned to mark International Women's Day.

More than 100 people are expected to join a candlelight procession led by the women of Dratabu Village in Nadi.

Another march is to go from Namaka to Jetpoint in Nadi.

The headman of Dratabu, Malikieli Namua, says the march is significant because the are taking a step to give women back their rights.

The Coordinator of the Fiji Women's Crisis Centre Shamima Ali says while many gains have been achieved for women, the struggle still remains to attain full equality for them.
