Fiji Warriors have been beaten 36-24 in their opening Pacific Rugby Cup match against Queensland A in Brisbane on Sunday.
The loss reverses a one-point win in the same fixture last season.
Tonga A went down 27-11 in their opening game against the Junior Waratahs in Sydney, while Samoa A opened the competition on Friday night with an entertaining 30-24 win over the Brumby Runners in Canberra.
The next round of matches begin on Wednesday.
