Flying Fijians head coach Inoke Male is hoping to tap into the All Blacks Rugby World Cup success leading up to the next tournament in 2015.
The former international is coaching the Fiji Warriors in this year's the Pacific Rugby Cup tournament, with their opening game tomorrow night against Queensland A in Brisbane.
Inoke Male says he sees the PRC as an opportunity to grow players in time for the next World Cup and says he admires the approach that was taken by the former All Blacks coach Graham Henry.
"Four years ago he was bringing the youngest All Blacks that had ever played in the World Cup. That team never won but in the end it was the oldest All Black that won the World Cup. It motivates me to move to another height so that's why I'm bringing the younger players from Fiji from the Under 20s up to 24 so that in the next four years they will be ready for the World Cup."
Tonga A also begin their PRC campaign on Sunday against the Junior Waratahs in Sydney.
