A 210 million US dollar deal will see Air Pacific's three new Airbus A330-200 aircraft powered by Rolls-Royce's Trent 700 engines.

The Fiji Times reports Air Pacific's managing director, David Pflieger, as saying the decision to invest in the Trent engine, which is the only engine specifically designed for the A330, is an indicator of the strong momentum behind Air Pacific's revitalisation plan.

He says Rolls-Royce, with its environmentally friendly technologies, is the right partner to help prepare the company welcome the new state of the art Airbus A330's into its fleet.
