Vanuatu's Acting Principal Electoral Officer Gullain Malessas says the national election date is now set for October the 30th and not in November as announced earlier.
Mr Malessas says the government has already endorsed the date but it has yet to advise the public.
Vanuau's parliament has 52 members and is elected every four years in multi-seat constituencies.
The last election was held in early September 2008.
