Air Pacific is boosting capacity on its Fiji to Hong Kong service.

Fiji's international airline is replacing its three times a week Boeing 767 service on the Nadi-Hong Kong route with a larger B747-400.

Air Pacific's Managing Director David Pflieger says the new schedule and the 22 per cent increase in seats are in line with the airline's commitment and enhanced focus on China.

Air Pacific launched the direct flight two years ago and has a code-share relationship on the route with Cathay Pacific.

Mr Pflieger says Air Pacific's new office in Hong Kong, and extensive new joint marketing campaigns with Tourism Fiji are supporting the airline's expansion in China.
