Kiribati goes to the polls today to choose the country's president.
The country's parliament, elected in November, nominated three candidates for President.
The candidates are the incumbent , Anote Tong, Dr Tetaua Taitai and the previous parliament's opposition leader, Rimeta Beniamina.
Voter registration closed two weeks ago, and the electoral office is not expecting a high turnout.
The office says turnout in presidential elections is traditionally low.
