An extra bronze medal has been added to the Team Cook Islands medal haul from the Pacific Games in New Caledonia.

The bronze medal will be presented to bodybuilder Aaron Enoka, who placed fourth overall at the Pacific Games competition in August.

Original bronze medal winner Mateo Vaihu of Tonga was stripped of the bronze medal after his drug test returned positive for banned substances.

The Cook Islands news reports the New Zealand based Enoka, the son of legendary local bodybuilder the late Felix Enoka, is reportedly thrilled with the news.

He says it is unclear when the medal from the Pacific Games Council will be received but when it does arrive a proper ceremony will be held to present Enoka with his medal.

The medal takes the overall Cook Islands tally to 13, including two gold medals, six silver and five bronze.
