American Samoa Fono awards paperless systems contract to US company

The American Samoa Fono has awarded the contract for its Paperless Electronic Management Information System project to a United States based company managed by a Samoan.

The project will be launched next year.

The US based Petaia Media company has been awarded the 249-thousand US dollar contract to develop and install the system akin to database systems employed by state legislatures and the US Congress.

The project is expected to connect all Fono sections and divisions and store all of its activities.

The project is expected to be officially launched in July.
