Power rationing continues in Palau

10:51 am on 30 November 2011

The Palau Public Utilities Corporation is continuing power rationing despite public complaints on the current rationing schedule.

The Corporation's Interim General Manager, Ken Uyehara, has indicated however that the rationed hours may be shortened.

Islands Times reports that customers in Koror and Airai have complained to power company for the inconsistent schedule.

But Mr Uyehara believes changing the schedule might cause difficulty to the public in adjusting to a new one.

He says some businesses have already adjusted its working hours following the current schedule.

He says once additional generators are on line this week the outages would be shortened.
