The United States Department of Health's Medicare and Medicaid Service has issued a report detailing deficiencies it has uncovered in its most recent survey of the Commonwealth Health Centre.

The Health Corporation's chief executive, Juan Babauta, says most of the deficiencies deal with outdated prescription drugs.

He says the report is very detailed.

The Corporation has two weeks to respond to the report and is now in the process of completing that.

Mr Babauta described the other concerns as minor, such as unclosed doors and close contamination issues in some hospital sections.

US health officials inspected the hospital in September as part of the federal agency's resurvey of the facility.
