Fiji trade unionist Felix Anthony released from police custody

Fiji Trade Unionist, Felix Anthony, has been released from police custody.

Fiji Village online says the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Henry Brown, confirmed that Mr Anthony has been released after being questioned in regards to certain serious allegations.

Mr Brown also re-iterated that Mr Anthony may be brought in again for questioning should the need arise.

Meanwhile, Mr Anthony's colleague from the Fiji Trades Union Congress, Daniel Urai, has been charged under the interim regime's crimes decree of urging political violence and was granted bail on Wednesday.
