Decision on bail for Fiji union leader shortly

The Suva Magistrates Court will rule on the bail application for the Fiji Trades Union Congress president, Daniel Urai, in half an hour.

Daniel Urai is charged with urging political violence and inciting antagonism against the interim government.

The hearing was deferred from this morning to this afternoon.

This morning the court was packed with representatives from the International Labour Organisation, the Australian government, and representatives from non governmental organisations in Fiji.
