Fiji football champions are ready to make an impact after a two-year absence from the Oceania Champions League football tournament.

The 2007 runners-up replace Lautoka as Fiji's representatives this year after regaining the Fijian championship title.

Their opening clash is this Saturday at home to New Caledonian side Mont Dore.

Club President Rishikendra Kumar says the team has developed a lot since their last Oceania campaign.

"Last time when we participated and most of our boys they were new and they were just familiar with Fiji soccer and when they participated in O-League they got a chance to play outside teams and they got more exposure and most of the players are still in their learning age. Now once they have played and they they lost, and now when they didn't qualify for the last two years they were praying that they do get a chance so they can complete their uncompleted jobs."
