PNG police ask relatives of air crash victims to come forward for DNA tests

Papua New Guinea police are asking people who believe they're related to victims of the air crash 12 days near Madang to come forward for DNA testing.

28 people died in the crash.

The police say that the Australian/PNG forensic team has so far identified 18 of the bodies using DNA samples.

But they have asked the relatives of the remaining ten victims go to Madang's Modillon hospital for DNA tests.
