PNG government minister referred to Public Prosecutor

A Papua New Guinea government minister has been referred to the public prosecutor for alleged misconduct in office.

The Post Courier newspaper reports that Inter-Government Relations Minister, Mark Maipakai, has been referred by the Ombudsman Commission.

The allegations include Mr Maipakai's alleged late submission of annual statements and failure to submit additional information as required under the Organic Law on the Duties and Responsibilities of Leadership.
