Cook Islands Rugby League say they will meet with New Zealand officials later this week to try and reschedule the cancelled test match between the two countries.

The Kiwis pulled out of test in Rarotonga last week, citing a high injury toll.

At the time the President of Cook Islands Rugby League, Charles Carlson, says they were dumfounded by ther decision and received no prior warning.

He says they hope to arrange a date in 2012 for the test to eventually go ahead.

Meanwhile Kiwis players Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Fuifui Moimoi, Issac Luke and Sam McKendry arrived in Cook Islands on Tuesday local time to help promote the rugby league in schools.
