Government employees in American Samoa are still waiting to be paid.
Payroll staff in several departments had been told that Bank of Hawaii customers who receive their paychecks by direct deposit should have got them by nine this morning.
But as of two pm the money, which was supposed to be in bank accounts at midnight Friday, was still missing.
In the Senate this morning, Senators spoke of constituents calling them over the weekend to ask if they knew why they hadn't got their wages and not being able to give them an answer.
