Visitor arrivals in the Northern Mariana Islands in August were down 12 percent compared to August 2010.
The Marianas Visitors Authority says just over 38,000 people visited last month.
Arrivals from Japan dropped 24 percent to 15,000 after one the three daily flights from Tokyo had been dropped.
