The Fiji rugby side is benefitting from its early arrival for this month's World Cup in New Zealand, settled in the small coastal town of Ohope on the North Island's East Coast

Fiji was the first team to arrive, touching down last Monday, in its bid to acclimatise before the Cup begins tomorrow week.

Fiji's three wingers and two other players are nursing injuries but media man Vilikesa Rinavuaka says its not to concerning.

"We've got a few players with the odd ankle sprain and knee sprain. But on the whole players are rehabilitating very well and things are looking fairly positive. The boys are enjoying themselves. Everything has gone relatively smoothly and the people around us are fantastic."

Fiji's first game of the World Cup is against Namibia on Saturday the tenth of September.
