The Government of Vanuatu and the tourism industry are optimistic the country's Tok Tok Vanuatu event will boost visitor numbers in the current low tourism period.

The two day event is expected to generate more tour operator activities by way of air and sea planes, helicopters, jet boats and cruise ships.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Ham Lini, has welcomed approximately 200 foreign buyers and sellers into the country including visitors from New Caledonia, Australia, and New Zealand.

He says Vanuatu is offering a variety of new products that he hopes will attract much interest.
