Papua New Guinea's suspended Public Enterprises Minister, Arthur Somare, will face a leadership tribunal on Wednesday to answer to allegations of misconduct in office.
The Post Courier reports the tribunal has rejected his attempt to stop the hearing going ahead, saying the charges are valid.
Concerns have been raised the prosecution team may not be ready to proceed, because it has failed to confirm a complete list of state witnesses.
The paper reports that the tribunal has been asked to hold the hearing in Mr Somare electorate of Angoram in East Sepik but it says this isn't possible.
