Fiji police are investigating a case where a grave was dug up and the coffin inside removed in Labasa over the weekend.
A police spokesman, Atunaisa Sokomuri, says the coffin and the dug up grave were discovered by officers and inmates of Vaturekuka prison following reports of a foul smell.
Fiji Live reports Mr Sokomuri as saying police are still investigating on whether any valuables had been stolen from the grave.
