A New Zealand delegation of Chinese business people has been in Niue, Samoa and the Cook Islands, scoping investment opportunities including the possibility of noni juice being exported to China and blended with fruit juice on a mass scale.

Members of the New Zealand Chinese Business Roundtable were travelling with representatives from the Auckland based Reef Group which owns a large noni operation on Niue.

The 14-strong delegation was led by Natural Dairy NZ Holdings Ltd's director Jack Chen, whose Hong Kong-based company had tried unsuccessfully to buy the Crafar family dairy farms in New Zealand.
