Fiji says UN wants more Fiji troops in Iraq

The Fiji interim government says it expects to increase the number of its troops serving for the United Nations in Iraq.

According to FBC News, the interim prime minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama, says the UN needs more troops from Fiji.

In an address to soldiers, Commodore Bainimarama has urged them not to abuse the trust and faith that the UN has in Fiji.

Fiji has more than 200 troops in Baghdad as part of the UN Guard Unit.
