The Hong Kong-based airline, Fly Guam, will next month start a twice-weekly service between Guam and Palau.

The flights, scheduled for every Monday and Thursday morning, expand the airline's existing operations which include routes to Saipan and Hong Kong.

The Pacific Daily News reports Fly Guam Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Stern as saying the airline's passenger loads have increased dramatically over the last three months of flying.

He says that since the charter airline's first flight in early March, they've transported over 6,000 passengers and see July 18th as an ideal vacation time to open up a new route to Palau.
