Fiji health officials launch annual national immunisation week

The health ministry in Fiji has begun its annual national immunisation week.

Children in their first year are being immunised against nine diseases including tuberculosis, measles, tetanus, rubella, and hepatitis.

The introduction of three new vaccines for pneumococcal, rota virus and HPV is expected to push the interim government's allocation for immunisation to 2 point eight million US dollars.
