After making just their second Cup final of the season last week, Fiji are entering this weekends Edinburgh Sevens with renewed confidence.
Fiji lost 24-14 to South Africa in the London decider and, with New Zealand having wrapped up the overall title, they're in a four-way battle for second place with the Africans as well as Samoa and England.
Head coach, Joe Savou, says he was pleased with how his new players stepped up and performed last week.
He says they're eager to end the season strongly but admits they'll have their work cut out for them in their pool clash with Samoa.
"It's always a rivalry match and physical and I think we've been playing Samoa for quite a long time and we know each other. It will be a good game and a tough game. I think the boys are looking forward to the last game against Samoa and as I mentioned earlier we will work hard on that."
Samoa and Fiji will also play the USA and Scotland in pool play.
