Matthew Ballard has survived trying conditions to with the 2011 Papua New Guinea Golf Open.
Having ended days two and three as joint-leader, Ballard shot a final round one under par 71 to finish on five under par, seven shots clear of fellow Queenslander Heath Reed to be the only player to finish the tournament under par.
Tasmanian Scott Priest finished in third place after ahead of Dean Meagher while New Zealand's Michael Hendry recorded nailed the tournament's only hole-in-one on the par three second.
